Sabbir Hasan Nasir is a strategic leader with 20+ years of proven experience transforming, leading and delivering critical business, manufacturing operations, and strategy initiatives for global retail companies. He is an entrepreneurial thinker with extensive experience in leading organizational turnarounds and revitalizing the bottom line through strong revenue growth.
As Executive Director of ACI Logistics in Bangladesh, he developed and led the strategy and operations transformation of Shawpno, the country’s #1 retail chain, with $117M US in annual revenue, 64 outlets, 2,287 employees and 40,000+ customers per day. Since 2011, he has restructured the company bringing costs under control, achieving aggressive growth, and thereby creating the best supermarket brand in the country, and increasing market share from 16.5 percent to 45 percent.
Among his many key achievements, Sabbir Nasir also established a farm-level network with fresh food suppliers across Bangladesh. Shwapno was awarded top retail brand in Bangladesh in 2016 and 2017.
Fluent in Bengali (Native) and English, Sabbir Nasir completed a ten-month Executive Program from MIT on Innovation and a week-long program from Harvard on Retail. He is currently enrolled in executive programs on Data Science and Analytics at USC at Berkeley.
